Frey Faust stammt aus New York und begann bereits mit acht Jahren als Pantomime, u.a. bei Marcel Marceau, und Tänzer mit einer Vielzahl von Einflüssen der Contact Improvisation, Afro-Haitian Dance, Aikido und Capoeira. Seine Unterrichtstätigkeit folgt den Prinzipien seiner "Axis Syllabus - universal motor principles", zu denen er auch ein gleichnamiges Buch herausgab. "My approach is to continually change the material, with the intention of leaving the student with a library of transitions, rather than a set vocabulary."
